Anyone ever take the overhead console down? I want to remove the "clip" panel an install a v-1000 compass. Thanks

I took mine off and cut out the clip portion and ported in a radar detector.
there is one screw in the front the rest are all pannel poppers.
take it slow and keep in mind that the lights are hard wired in so you will need to unplug them before you make a fast break with the console.
