its starting to get a little on the cold side here in michigan so i think im gonna pick up one of those fm lcd starter/alarms they have on ebay. hehe that way i can start my truck up from my class and have it all nice and toasty by the time i get down to it heh. my question is though, has anyone here ever insalled one of these or something similar on their own???? and if so how hard was it?? i've done many many car stereo installs before so i guess i would consider myself at least moderatly electrically skilled but i dont really want to get in too far over my head with this if it is something out of my league. also, for those who did install their own, did you have special dakota wireing diagrams to tell you where all the wires were at and their specific color codes?????? thanks a lot for any help you can offer.

I'm also from michigan and I'm freezin' my ballz off...I got one of those fm 2-ways off of ebay and installed it myself...It took me a total of around 6 hours because there are so many damn wires...the range really varies, some days mine works from a quarter of a mile...and some days it just plain sucks...and you can get wire color code charts from bulldog security's web page...if you have any other questions drop me an e-mail
