Well guys after much debate and alot of heartach I've decided that the best route was to sell my truck. As all of you know I really really REALLY! didn't want to but the extra $500 a month on top of the $500 truck payment was getting way to expensive for someone trying to save up for school.
I decided on Saturday to get a '02 Mercury Cougar. V6 170 horsepower, 5-speed. Only thing I really didn't care for was the fact that it's red.. more like a burgandy but still red. Much better around curves then my truck and ALOT better on gas milage. Just don't call me @ 2a.m. to pull you out of some mud hole.
I should have pictures of my new car up on Tuesday. After I detail it all (just rained today).
I just wanted to say Thank You to all of you that have given me support, and have helped in someway with this truck and lift. I'm going to stick around on the boards for a while but I won't be around near as much. Hit me up on AIM or e-mail if you want to talk though.
Special thanks in no particular order.. I'm sure I've forgotten someone.. I'm sorry if I did but this list got really long really quick.
Mark - For putting this site together. Just get some moderators on here to keep this site a good one.
ZoomerStang - For helping me out at laughing at the sitiations I've gotten my self into. Really nice guy.. Thanks for the moral support.
Hawkeye - For listening to me bitch about him having such a nice looking @ solid truck.
BlackDak02 - For keeping the humor around.
4wDakota - For having a OFF-ROAD only mind and proving it by using his 4x4 accordingly.
ForeXFour - For having one sweet 4x4 rig and getting some rides together in CA. (You'd better watch out I might show up on your door step someday asking if I can bum a ride)
2THEXTRM - For having a sweet truck and always have some input.
IntenseDak39 - Greg... hurm. Blah ;-) j/k thanks for helping me with well everything. I'm glad you were there otherwise I'd probably still be trying to figure things out.
FortWorth4x4 - Sean... Good luck with your truck and watch out for Mikes b/c Mike.. was a real pain when I brought my truck in after throwing my drive shaft.
diligentdave - Now it's your turn to sell. ;-) j/k I might actually have money to go shooting now. You'd better watch out I'll be shooting better then you soon.
born2steel21 - It's nice to see a regular cab riding that high. Get some nerfs and you'll be alllllll set.
Tx-Hop - Haven't talked to you for a while but it's been fun.
bjlindsey - Thanks for the help with the body lift.
Dan Gruber - I hate you for making me think I could get my truck looking that good ;-)
Blizzard - BAH! ;-) I still like your truck.. Frickin awesome.
QUADMAN - Thanks alot for the help from Good Year. Those tires are AWESOME.
TallQuad - For having one sweet 4x2 and making me wish I bought a 2wd w/ LSD instead of my 4x4.

Well, its a shame to see you go. But to each his own. How do you like the cougar? Im not going to ask you to stick around the boards, im going to TELL YOU! :) I too have considered selling the dak, and i still might come spring. If its for a car (BMW) or not, we'll have to wait and see. My dad keeps telling me to pick up a couple '98's and make one a 2wd drag machine, and the other a lifted 4x4. But do come around offten, and get yer self an older 4x4 dak to play with. :)

Well sorry to hear the truck is gone, but glad you made it alive. Good luck with the new ride. We need to keep in touch. If you ever want to go mudding with me just let me know, Ill always have a seat for you.

AHHH... That sux Knobby, but i can understand why u had to do it. Hell, i probly would have also. BTW, how much did u sell it for?? Ill shoot u an email about the straps and hooks when i get home from work.

Knobby! WHAT!!!! Man you having some kind of young mid life crisis or something?!!!
Make's sense though. You gotta do the right thing and what you need to do.
Enjoy the new Wheels! It's gotta feel like you are draggin you ass on the ground though!
If you ever drop by I will hook you up. If you are ever in the Bay area you gotta let me know. I will show you what a Stock V6 4x4 Dakota will do with 33's on it. Oh, I guess I cant say that any more with the Locker on it.
