How much work did it take to mate the Magnum heads to the 340 block? And I guess you used the factory fuel injection system? And the computer can handle the differences?

I can see that it runs like all hell on the bottle.... what does it run with no bottle in the quarter??

The 340 isn't done yet the times you see were with the 5.2. Teh blocks are pretty much the same. As for computer special flash, 30 pound inj, had the 340 in once for a few days but had problems with the lifter bore casting so now its getting some head work while its apart.

Sounds cool. How big a shot did you hit the 318 with? Keep us posted on the 340 progress.

30# injectors?? i have heard some people say that the 24#'s in a 408 ran rich. do you have a way to lean them out?

i have also heard the oil and water passages were differant in the older blocks, than the magnum's. did you have any issues with them when putting the heads or manifold on?

-Eric
Injection is nice, but i'd rather be blown.

I plan on using a split second box to help with the injectors. For the oil and water passages the oil holes are not in the magnum heads but I used a 340 retrofit roller cam and lifters with magnum pushrods so it oils through the pushrods like a magnum
