Ya, that was my question when this post first came up. If enough people wanted holes put in to let light through, do you think they would do that?

I talked with Dave about this yesterday, and it looks like it's not possible to have the pass-through at this time.

The light that shines up through the knob originates about 1/4" or so inside the edge of the knob, but the illuminated portion of the knob is right out at the edge. Inside the factory knob is a semi-transparent plastic piece that acts as a waveguide to carry the light from the inside track of the knob up to the outer edge where you see it poke through. It's not possible to just drill a hole straight down from where the dot is located on a factory knob and tap through for visible light, you'd probably hit one of the rings or bumps inside of the knob that help hold it in place.

Dave at Billet Pro will be purchasing equipment that will enable him to build plastic inserts for illumination in the future, but this is at least 2-3 months out and unavailable for the group buy.

I was looking around a few trucks, and realized that the OLD A/C Knobs are the same as the headlight switch on my 2002! I would imagine that the billet A/C knob for the older trucks will fit the newer ones... maybe ALL daks?
Just thought someone might care.
