Has anyone ever had the Hercules Terra Trac Tires. I have a friend who owns a tire shop and wants to mount these up. He's giving me them for his cost. Any info if they are good. Also what is the biggest I can fit. Stock 98 4x4 CC.

I haven't heard of those tires, but as far as what you can fit, you can run 32x11.5's if you crank up your torsion bars a little. You might have some very slight rubbing, but not alot. Here is a pic of Tx-Hop's truck with 32's on stock height 4X4.

if you gotta ask!!!!
there is a bolt at the back of the torsion bar that adjusts the bar one way is up the other is down, after adjusting it your front alignment (camber) will change so get it into a shop to have it reset. I did this on a 3 year old (at the time) Duster from the mid 70's I had to use a heavy wall socket as the standard wall split and a very long persuader on the end of the breaker bar. The thing was still so tight that I had to push it with my leg as I could barely more it otherwise. I am not small 220 lbs. at the time and was very used to lifting and carrying 150 lb. loads at work all day long. One other thing, before you start, measure the ride hight of your bumper on the rt and lft side and make sure they are the same as far as difference, if any after you are done as they are before you start. Any difference in the measurement will affect handleing. That is if you lift the rt side 3/4 inch make sure you lift the lft side just as much, or you could get a bad lesson as to what the guys on the NASCAR telecasts refer to as weight jacking.
