have an 89 dakota with a busted out window. have new glass and want to know if anyone can give me step by step on how to put it in

I may miss a step, but hope this helps.
1. Remove the inside door panal.
2. Remove the "lower wiper". Its the rubber weatherstripping piece on the outside of the door along the bottom edge of the opening. Held in place by screws. this step is not necessary but makes it easier.
3. Place the "slides" on the new glass. These are little plastic things that snap into holes on the rear edge of the glass
4. Lower the glass into the door cavity. It is neccessary to tilt the glass and manuver some. If I remember right, tilt the rear up at about 50degs and lower it in front first.
5. set the glass down in the cavity and reattach the "lower wiper". You cant get to the screws with the glass in place so DONT forget.
6.remove the screw holding the front channel to give you some play.
7.position the glass into the rear chanel and motion arm and the front channel.
8. replace the screw holding the front channel and test the up/down
9. replace the door panel
