I hav a 91 r/c dak with the 5.2L A500 auto trans and i seem to be having some major problems and ant figure out what is wrong.

When i first bought it i was getting around 250miles to a tank and now i am getting around 170-200miles to a tank. I have little if any throttle response. I do have a throttle body off of the 5.9L but that has not caused that much of a lose in gas mileage it does have the 318 injectors in it and all the sensors. I was progressivly getting worse gas mileage even with the 5.2L tb. so i dont think that that is the problem.

I have replaced the distributor, rotor, plugs, belt, airfilter, radiator, timing chain, water pump, oil gauge sending unit, water temp sending unit, thermostat, egr, and the egr switching solinoid and the tps.

I have check my vacum and got 17 at idle and 17 high/low at 2500 rpm. My throttle response does come and go. I can go out start it now and it will be fine drive it for 30min and its gone and this is when the engine has already run. the only thing i can think of is that its the cat but the dealer and a shop in the area cant figure it out. Oh i am not getting any codes from the comp.

Sorry for the long post but im getting sick of the gas mileage im getting and the performance im getting. I average right now 7-8mpg babying it. i was getting 11-12.
If this will help i bought it in chicago and the guy that owned it did alot of highway driveing and all i do is city driving. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
