Hey guys, my '99 RC came factory WITHOUT that underhood insulation and i am wondering if it's wise to put it on now. I got a price of $70CAD from the dealer plus another $30 for fasteners.

What do u guys think???? Is it worth it?????

My 02 SLT QC Dakota doesn`t have it , but my previous 99 SLT CC did. I questioned the salesman why mine didn`t have it (or the underhood light), so we checked the others on the lot and none of them had it. Apparently it`s a money saving issue for Dodge to no longer include it , so I quess it`s not needed. The one on my other truck kept falling off anyways , so I`m kind of happy I don`t have to worry about it on this one. It does seem cheap to me though , by not having it.

Should you buy it ...I wouldn`t , as it`s not worth a 100 bucks to me , but if it really bothers you not having it , go for it. Maybe the clips are changed now and it will stay on.

Check Wycoff Mopar Parts under collision, hoods and grilles, hood and grill components, or something like that. I just ordered mine for a 98 Dakota, insulation and attachment pin (13) only came to about $80.
