After two 3.9s, '87 & '90, I'm now driving a '99 5.2L extended cab 4X4. I would like to hear opinions about this V8 from current or former owners . . . please.

i have no complaints. think about it...... you got everything the 1500 fullsize ram has except for the extra money for insurance..... the truck is lighter( alot more spunk when you step into it)

i've even had a ton of rock in the bed and it didnt even bother the performance..... except for taking a little longer to stop.

i'm very impressed and pleased with the 5.2

I'd have to agree with swish. I love the power and the ability of the 5.2 to do anything and everything that I want it to do, and more! It's a good sounding engine, it has enough power to pull everything that I want to, and if I want to step on it and go it does so with ease! I do have to say that the newer 4.7 would be nice. It's a little lighter and has a little more pep to it, but I still love my 5.2!!
