 Subject: Break line problem

After getting my truck back from vallet and leaving homecoming dinner. I make it 1 mile down the road and ABS light comes on. I stop and there is a puddle if fluid under neath.. I call my dad and tell him what's up and he comes out. He sticks his hand in the puddle and says it's break fluid. Has anyone had a break line rupture or leak in some fashion of this before? My truck has 12k miles on it and pissed my date off to the max considering we didn't even make it to the dance. Are break lines covered in the power tain warrenty? Thanks

Well first off I would find out exactly where the leak is coming from.
1. If it's a steel brake line and has a hole in it or a fitting is leaking then it is possable it will be covered under warranty.
2. If it's a rubber line I would look to see how it broke. It's possable it could have just been weak and poped open. Then again it's realy rare for that to happen, on a new truck that is.
For that to be really rare it is possable someone or something could have cut the line too. Just looking at all the possibilities.
