I was down at the dealer today, getting my '02 fixed, nothing major. And guess what I found.....2001 Dodge Motorsports Dakota, RC, 4.7, 5 speed, Black paint, rhinoliner, looked to be mint condition. I've never seen a Motorsports package in anything other than red. So I asked my salesman about it. One owner trade-in, bought there in December, 2000 and has 22K on the clock. He said they'd sell it to me for $11,500. Now I could be wrong, but on the surface that seems like a pretty good deal. I need another Dakota like I need a hole in my head.....

I'd run the truck through kbb.com (Kelley Blue Book) and edmunds.com and see what it prices out to be there. It sounds like a good deal, but I would run it through those and get a better idea.

DEFINATELY bargain that price down if you want to get it. I was going to trade my Motorsport Edition in for another truck at Linder Dodge & the value/what they were going to give me was only $9,500 or so (with only 20k on the odo). I had negative equity on the truck to boot!
BTW, the Motorsport Editions came in Red, Black, & Silver
