It is time to change the oil in my 2001, 4.7 manual trans. Are there any lubes out there that will make this trans. shift smoother? I live in New England and the cold weather seems to make the shifting even worse. I've heard there are lubes that I should not use because they will errode the internal metal components.
Any help is appreciated

Redline. I jsut swapped mine (NE CT) and temp does not seem to matter the way it did with the factory lube... I like it so far (about 3k miles).

I can "second" the vote for the REDLINE MTL. noticibly better than the original dyno-oil.
