 Subject: Gen III Seats In Gen II

My Dad has a 95 Club Cab with factory buckets. They are shot. Has anyone installed Gen III buckets in a Gen II truck? If so, how much fabrication was involved? Thanks.

There was a thread on the "custom Style" board a while back on this... I believe all you have to do is fabricate the GenII seat bracket to enable the new seat to fit.
I think he said he took a bed frame and did a little welding on the brackets so that they were wider.
I'm in the process of buying GenIII seats for my GenII Dakota. I'll let you know if there is any trouble. (You may want to look up that thread using the "search" option at the top of the screen.

Thanks for the input. I'll do the search too. Everytime I use the phrase Gen II in a search, all I get are K&N FIPK results!

I have a set of Gen III bucket seats sitting at my moms house that Im waiting to put in my '91. I havent had a chance to take a look at it or even attempt to put them in. Been way to busy. Hopefully soon Ill be able to tackle it and Ill let you know.
