Subject: Truck bed hitting cab
IP: Logged

Message:
Does anyone know a place that makes/sells either diamond plate or steel pieces that can be bolted/welded the the truck bed header (?) Not sure that is the correct name for it or not - its the vertical part at the front of the bed that is right behind the truck cab (opposite the tailgate).
By putting my bike in the bed, this part has bent and started to rub against the cab. I am about to get Line-X sprayed in the bed and want to fix this issue first.

Thanks

I think they're called 'headache racks', at least that's what they're called on big trucks. I think they sell 'headache racks' for pickups. Here's a Google search for them. Take your pick.

I don't need the 'headache rack" it's self... but just the part that goes over the bed. It's very weak, doesn't even seem to be welded in very many spots!
Dodge dealer wil do nothing about it - claims it is normal and that I shouldnot have put a motorcycle in the bed! Why else would I buy a truck?
Very frustrating.
