Are there any daks in the Charlotte, NC area? I see alot of you around. I just moved hear from Orlando. Looking for fellow Dakota enthusiasts to swap ideas and tips, find places to do some off-roading, etc. Let me know.

I don't live in charlotte but I live about 1.5 hours east of you. I have a friend that goes to UNC charlotte. I can't drive until the end of December but once I can start driving again I might make some trips out that way. I have a 4x4 also and love to do some off-roading. YA, everyone's welcome.
I'm thinking if we get enough people around here interested, we should find a place to meet. I'm sure there's more Dak owners in the Charlotte vicinity who read this forum.
I saw a couple of postings a while back regarding Dak owners in NC. There were a few people who lived in cities near Charlotte. Perhaps we should hook up with them; broaden our search.

You should have got here about 2 months ago :) I got rid of my 4x4 and got a 2002 2wd. (i was phat4x4 in that topic) I live on the west side near mt. holly. Where are ya'll at?
There really aren't that many hooked up dakotas near me. Good luck looking for 4-wheeling spots. As far as trails go, there really aren't that many that I know of. I know some friends of mine used to go somewhere beside the airport. I usually went on the Duke Power trails around the lakes, but they gated most of the entrances off. If you're just looking to go muddin, you could head out to where they are cutting the new I-485 beltloop in, but with our lack of rain, you might just go dustin. Plus the cops were, at one point, cracking down on people there.
But if ya'll have any knowledge on Magnum engines, hit me up in the next few months. I'm plannin on dropping in a high performance 408. I know, call me retarded.

What kind of help you need with the 408? Guy I posted about earlier with the R/T is planning a 408 build up and install. Don't know when it will happen yet.
I drive a white 95 RC. Big and little tire set and a "Just Blow Me" sticker on the back window.

not really help--just experience. i've built two chevy engines, and i don't think building it will be difficult. just the actual swap scares me. but it will probably be a while before i do it. gives me some time to further educate myself :)

Hey Dominic, I'm in Mooresville, about 30 miles north of Charlotte. With a wife and 3 kids I don't have as much time as I'd like to work on the Dak, but let me know if you get anything together.
2000 white CC, 3.9l, Flowmetrics TB, Dynomax, Airaid, 3923's, more that I can't remember.
