I just tried to do a search on "Team Dodge". I got 25,017 documents that "matched". I looked through the first 50. Not one of them was about Team Dodge and I know there is one currently on the first page of the General Board!! What's up with that??
I wanted to thank the person who first posted about Team Dodge. I wasn't sure if "howdy" was the one who told us about it. I got my member kit today. It's real nice.
I was thinking about joining this board but have been becoming more disappointed with this board lately. After this bogus search thing I won't be joining. For $30 at least the search should work and other forums that work great are free!! All you have to do is register. I even posted about being willing to register but didn't even hear back from Mark the moderater.
Some folks on here go off on folks who don't search before posting. Well give them a break, they probably did and couldn't find the relevant post they were looking for. It probably wasn't their fault!!
This will probably be my last post on this board. So, I want to thank all those folks on this board who gave me good advice. Knobbyman, Bernd and Forexfour were some of the best. Thanks guys!!
I've seen some folks on this board get pretty harsh with others they disagree with so I'm sure I'll catch some flak for this post, well so be it. That's another reason I won't pay $30 to join. Too much bickering and flaming posts. I have found the free boards are more hospitable.
Don't get me wrong. There are a LOT of nice folks on this board!! But I find more enjoyment on other boards. I wish the best to all those I've chatted and shared info with!! Keep it between the ditches guys!!

Most of the guys that comment negatively about people not doing searches probably don't have much else to do. You should disregard them as most other people do. After all, why are they even reading a post that has had so much prior discussion?
I like to post a question and get the most recent opinions out there, even if it has been discussed a thousand times. (I know how to search and generally do before I post)
I always get a kick out of the guys that act like the "wise masters" and flame people for "not searching" and wasting their time. LOL
Oh and if someone is concerned about server space, don't be. Older stuff can be automaticaly deleted as necessary.
When you do search, be sure to select "all" instead of "any". This will greatly reduce your results especially if "Dodge" is one of the words.

I agree with you... I find the search engine to be very stupid. (no intelligence behind it)
With all of the great search engines and indexing systems available today, you would think that one should be able to find the string "team dodge".
But alas... it insists on finding "team" and "dodge" as seperate strings. Any reasonabnle search engine should follow the 'standard' searching algorythims. (putting quotes around a string should search for the ENTIRE STRING as submitted.)
I am a software developer (among other disciplines) and know that there are "free" search engines available that are better than the one available here.
Perhaps it is time for a software upgrade for dodgedakotas.com... Several of the other dodge websites I follow have superiour features.

A search of "Team Dodge" using the "all" selection will retrieve about 144 documents.

The only Problem i have with the board, I love the adivce and every one is frienly, but o want to have some get to gethers, and meet some other guys with the same intrest adn sit and bs, and the "inter cyrcle"
