If you want to keep your truck rust-free for a long time, check this area. Behind each front tire is a pocket in the floor where there is a body mount. This mount has a hole facing the front and a small hole in the bottom: everywhere else is sealed. It is horseshoe shaped. I noticed today that mine was packed with mud and dirt, and I don't do much off-roading at all. Anyone that off-roads or lives in an area where road salt is used, should pay close attention to keeping this area cleaned. From experience, mud and dirt lead to fast rust. Hope this helps someone.

Mine isn't rusting yet, but I am going to figure something out to eliminate this problem. I can't stand rust either. As far as I'm concerned this is a really poor design. Being directly behind the tire, you know it is going to fill up with crap.
