Well I am going to start looking for a new big pickup. We found a big camper trailer we like and a minivan just won't tow it. I'm thinking of getting one of the new 2500 series Rams with the Hemi and doors and seats for the whole family. I also may just go with a 98 or newer Cummings Quad cab but want to test out the Hemis first.
My Dakota is a 2000 solar yellow, regular cab, with minimal options and mods. The main options seem to be A/C and HD cooling. I have the MP pcm along with the original one. It has a 180 degree t-stat and the IAT relocated but otherwise nothing has been done to it. It even is still riding on the factory goodyears but the backs are about done (fronts still 75%). It has under 18,000 miles on it and the factory warranty should be good till 7/2003 so thats about a year and 18,000 miles left on the warranty. I am located in western Montana (Missoula, along interstate 90), and do have a set of studded snows mounted on old Dakota rims for anybody with winter climate. It is pretty much flawless, some small spider cracks on the fog lights, a few rock chips on the fender flairs, and a dime sized ding on the rear bumber under the "step". Like I said $15,500 for perhaps the rarest R/T ever, supposedly only 5 2000 SY RCs were made although no official numbers have been released!

a little off subject but I was there (Missoula) in august and september of 2000 fighting forest fires in the Nine mile Valley with the Army. Its some of the most beautiful country I have ever seen. If anybody ever gets the chance to go there, I say take it and run.
BTW, if I had the money I would take it. I'd get an R/T and get to go vacationing in Montana. Can't beat that!!

born2steel21, what are you talking about? Missoula is a dirty, crime infested, slum that no person should go to. In fact, that's how all of Montana is. (Shhh, you're letting out the local secret ;)

Not a bad deal though, too bad I already have a Dakota. Wonder if anyone I know would be interested...
Oh, by the way. The results from our races were finally posted this weekend. Go to the Big Sky site and check it out. Too bad they don't show all the runs. A bunch of people beat me on their very last run..

The ninemile valley is where we do most of our hunting, I was up there last winter with my R/T and a decient white tail in the back. How many other R/T's have carried out big game? We actually hunt off the road you probably were up, but they were fighting a few different fires in that aera. The deer we drug out ended up covered in soot from all the burnt downed logs. Thanks for the help with those fires, now if only we could, as recomended by the USFS and most people with degrees in such areas, salavge log the dead, burnt logs, it's wouldn't seem like such a total loss.
