On a 1995 Dakota, 318, 5 speed, 2wd, would it have a NV3500 or NV3500HD?

Also, what if anything could be done to an NV3500 or NV3500HD to make it handle more power, like a 408 stroker. Obviously, you can upgrade the clutch. I know that would help. What about the guts in the transmission? Has anyone done this?

i dont think you can do anything to the tranny. you would be better off just trashing the origonal unit, and replacing it with something stronger.

Injection is nice, but i'd rather be blown.

What would you recommend replacing it with?
