Well Dudes,I`ve switched to synthetic..to mobil 1,It may not be the best but its better than dino.Oil analysis has revealed its working well in my Dak.My silicon was fairly high,so I switched air filters.

Have used it for over 25 years. Had a Ranger with 91K on it and was 300+ miles from home when a piece of steel fell off a truck, bounced down the IntSt and put a hole in my oil pan. Had it towed to the nearest dealer and when I went to pick it up the mechanics came over to ask me why I had the engine rebuilt and why I had put a new pan on it, everything was so perfect! My cherokee has 175K on it right now!

I have used Mobil 1 since 1988. Their is nothing wrong with Mobil 1. I have switched to Amsoil because I think they make a better product and because it is an American made product. I never found anything wrong with Mobile 1. The one thing that I always liked about Mobil 1 was that I could get it in every country I ever lived in.

I noticed an earlier thread that went something like this: "I visited EyeTrip's website and his it was just his truck and not a picture of him. He must be BUTT UGLY !!!". Is that the reason you are so angry?
I'm in WA State too, and keeping my eyes open for your truck. When I track you down you're drinking a quart of: Mobil1, Redline, Royal Purple, Amsoil, Q/S, Castrol, Slick 50, and MMO.

Hi, I love the Dakotas but I'm really a Falcon man. I watch this board occasionally just for ideas and never say anything but I got to admit you guys, those peddling Amsoil and everyone else are getting to be too much. I personally use paraffin-based oil, change it twice as often and then have used oil for my furnace all year long!
Why keep arguing about stupid crap (like use my oil) and get back to informative topics.

If each one of you has a difference of opnion, I and others are more than glad to read it. Seeing more than 1 side of an issue is wonderful. Getting more information on any product other than the original source is a wonderful way to base an OPINION. It just urks me to see grown or nearly grown men and women get into a flame war because of differences in opinions on products and Ideas. I.E. motor oil quality or bolt on or not bolt on.
In MY OPINION, based on Information I have Read and Availability of Product, and Personal Experience, I THINK MOBIL1 is the best for ME.
But thanks to the fact that I'm AMERICAN and have a choice I choose Mobil1.
Based on definitions I have read and through personal Experience I think that BernD's and Tom's turbo is bolt on. I see some R&D precations in their prep. Thats MY OPINION.
Just have fun and disagree don't get abusive or personal. If you make a joke at someone and it offends then apologize and move on. If you can get some one to see it your way without the use of profanity and insults, then good for you.
To those that must Flame, start your on web site so that you can get people just like you to argue with, PLEASE. Something like FLAMERS.org or something.
Help each other don't Curse each other.

I am Prospector and I use and promote a lot of different companies here at DodgeDakotas.com.

Once again for the little kids that couldn't keep up. I have not attacked Amsoil products. The marketing skills demonstrated here is lacking very badly. That’s what I've been bitching about.
