 Subject: Quad Cab door locks

I have power door locks on my '01 QC. When a person is sitting in the back, and we get to where we are going(and the auto 15mph lock engaged), they can't get out unless I hit the unlock switch up front.
I checked the child safety locks, and they don't seem to be engaged.
Anyone else have this problem??

Ya, same truck and it does the same thing. I thought this was normal. Its handy for me because my kids are young and I don't want them getting out until I'm out of the truck.

They come like that from the factory. If you want to deactivate it then look in your owners manual and it should explain the deactivation process or ask the dealer to do it.

Do you EVER READ YOUR OWNERS MANUAL?
If it's a 4.7, it take SIX QUARTS of oil too, not 5.

I always read owners manual!! I also buy a Service manual when I buy a vechile new or used and read it as well.

It is true that the doors do lock and the front doors do not need you to unlock the doors to get out. This is a DC disign that is very good in some aspects. All the rear passengers have to do is manually unlock their door and they can exit, that is of course assuming that you did defeat the child safety locks!!!
