 Subject: 200mi. of warranty left, what to do?

Anything important I need to gripe about before my warranty expires?
I got screwed and purchased my truck a few days before the 7yr/100Kmi. warranty went into affect. (I know they say they took the $2500 rebate away in lieu of the warranty,,,except shorty after they started giving both! You could get the rebate, and the extended warranty! eh..)
I need a foglight fixed,,but anything else need to be checked?

My experience has shown that unless you have something specific for the dealer to look at, don't waste your time taking it in. If you have found anything (and I mean anything) that bothers you, now is the time to take it in. But, if you are just going to take it in and have them look for things, probably not worth the trip as they won't do anything to it. Just my two cents.

I would've recommended that as well, but without some sort of indication that they are going bad, the dealer will probably just tell you there is nothing wrong and won't do anything about. I wish it wasn't like that, but that's how things have gone in the past with me.

Just tell the dealership that you hear a popping noise when turning and that you think its your ball joints...they'll at least check 'em out then.

throw a brick on the gas and go to lunch. Just kidding. Listen to the motor running at all RPMs. My truck cam from the factory with a bore out of round. They said many come from the factory like this. Most poeple don't hear it. Very soft deep.

Everything's been fine,,except for those crappy fog lights that break from heat stress. They tell me they have to keep it overnight,,,,,pshhhah.
She run's beautifully,,,,(knock on wood).
Check this out......
I heard of a place in San Antonio today from a friend... www.thehotrodstore.com someone told me they will slap a turbo setup, do head work, cams, transmission work, and a new computer for $5,500!!!! Get close to 600rwHP!!
They make no mention of it on their site for Dakotas,,mostly stangs,,,but a guy I know will be having it done to his 4.7, and apparently there are already 7 finished in the area. Kinda scary.
Something worth looking into!
