OMFG, Ive read the guide at speedtweak, and I still dont get it. The guide said "Connect a Digital Volt Meter to the middle terminal on the TPS sensor (with the harness connected and the Key-ON/Engine-OFF). " But thats impossible since there is no metal or open wire for the meter to touch. Also the meter have 2 probe, positive and negative, which probe to put where ?.

Than they said " Set the initial voltage (by turning it with your fingers) on the TPS at about .7 volts (Optimum range is from .7 - .75 volts) " Turn with what ?, there is no switch there to turn. Also, if there is a switch to turn. Turn in which direction ?.
Man, this is frustrating.

Its easy just slide your probe through the middle weather proof connector and you should get a reading its not gonna hurt a thing .Its just a covering that protects the wires from the elements

stick a pin or needle along side the weather pack connecter wire at the ctr terminal. Slide it in until you hit the connecter. Use the red or positive wire from your meter to touch the pin. touch the black wire or negitive to any ground ( carb bolt, a/c compresser or neg batt terminal). Turn the key on only do not engage the starter. this will tell you your tps voltage.

SLT+,

There is no knob to turn, you have to turn the whole TPS, but the only way to do that is take a drill and remove the 2 brass bushings on each side of it and use 2 new washers to keep the screws from going thru it. This gives it the ability to rotate in place.

Ohhh, now I get it. I dont if its me or what, but the intruction at speedtweak is freaking hard to understand. Also, Ive heard that if you turn it couter clock wise the voltage will incease. And if you turn it clock wise the voltage will decrease. Is this true ?

Thanks alot for your help

I have no Idea, I just turned it in a direction that yielded the .7 volts I desired, then I tightened it down.

If its at .63, than try setting at .8 or 0.85
I seen peoples happy with higher setting like that. I will set mine at .8 since it is at .53 right now.

If you disconnect the sensor with the key on, you will get a tps code. If the key is off, and you turm the key on without starting the truck, the light comes on automatically. Its a bulb check. If you have stored any diagnostic trouble codes in the PCM it is always a good idea to reset it.

If you go to high with the voltage you will get an engine light with code p0123 I think. It means the TPS voltage is set to high. Just a heads up.
