With the 02 dak's, we all know with this cool thing called LSD, we can't spin our tires worth a flip. There arn't any pcm's out there for us yet etc. I heard that by pulling the ABS fuse, that this would eliminate the LSD. I thought it sounded kinda fishy, so I thought I would ask.

the limited slip has nothing to do with the ABS. I can spin the 33s on my dakota 4x4 with a LSD with no problems
you jsut need to bring the RPMs up and let off the brake slightly. when the rears get moving just hold enough pressure on the brakes to keep the truck from moving forward

I can't keep mine from spinning. Darn thing fish tales every where in like no rain. when its dry if I wan't to spin the tires I nail it at any speed less than 15 mph and shazam, smoke every where. If i'm doing 65 mph and want to break them loose I drop it in 3rd an rev it to about 5,000 rpm's and dump the clutch and it will leave 2 nice 15 - 20 foot black marks and a stiff spot in my neck.

I will agree with that Troy, 100%. I've never had spinning tires make me go any faster.

The ABS fuse trick might work on a car that has traction control that works by applying the brakes. Usually with those setups the traction control and the ABS are bundled together, so killing one kills the other. Saturn comes to mind on that...they bundle the two together in an option package.

But Rob is right...ABS and the LSD on our Dakotas have nothing to do with one another...LSD is a mechanical gizmo in the diff, and ABS just controls locked wheels...won't stop them from spinning.

C'mon guys, I've got a stock 2000 cc slt 3.9 and I can turn the tires over if I power brake. Just apply the break from a stop, then steadily increase gas and let of the break a little. My right rear breaks loose and if I keep on it it'll just keep going....although usually the truck jumps around so much I let off.

Now, that's not good for the brakes, rearend or driveline but it's a litte fun once in a while.

Sure, if I try from a dead stop and just mash the accelator it wont even chirp... but thats a 6 banger for ya.
