I knew it was gonna happen some time. I got a ticket for doing 82 in a 65. What's the damage on something like this?

It should say right on your ticket I would think. I got a ticket for 83 in a 65 a couple of weeks ago and it is going to cost me around 95 bucks!(in Indiana)

California doesn't list the fine on the ticket, the judge decides that instead of the officer. (makes for a clear distinction between judicial and executive branches)

Got one for the same speed in the same speed limit area last year... Was $155+ got traffic school... Another $25+ $4.00 for the cert.

If you are eligible for traffic school, try it online at www.ticketerasers.com (they have changed to another company, but the link still works).

Did my traffic school in 2.5 hours while watching a DVD...

I'm not gonna fight this one. I was caught fair and square. (by the CHP, near Folsom)

I guess after speeding for so long it was inevitable :) Good thing they didn't catch me when it was excessively high.

The reason I haven't fought the 2 taht I have got is because like Demon, I knew I was speeding and feel that for me, the best way to get me to slow down is to pay the damn fine! Also, if I were to fight it, I would have to go to night court in towns that are about a half hour away. It may be worth it if I got off, but if not, it would really be a waste. Just my two cents.
