i was reading a truck mag today , comparing the R/T, TSD, and the lightning.
the r/t dynoed at 155 rwhp. is this right, i hope not thats horrible. granted a few mods will bring it up. that is just bad from the factory if its true.

I think they have more like around 185-190 (given 25% loss from engine to rear wheels)

I did a few g-tech pro runs with 4100 lbs as my weight in my Reg cab. It was bone stock and I got 189 RWHP. Not 155 ..... what a crock.

I'm doing a dyno run (along with 4-5 other RTs) this Sunday in Houston. I will post the results.
BTW- Were all pretty heavly modified but it will paint a pretty picture for the R/T.

What kind of dyno? That info is important because a mustang dyno always has lower RW numbers compared to a dynojet.

I saw the same mag. and there is now way in hell they new what they were doing. Their saying that Mustang 5.0's won't even race them on the tracks.

the tv show "trucks" did a dyno on an RT a while back and got 192 rwhp.

Yeah, I saw that article and was like.."What?!?". I think it's there subtle way of saying they are tired of the current version of R/T and are wanting something new.
Say like a next gen Dak with the hemi eng as a SRT-8 version. You know something like that is coming...with the SRT-10 and SRT-4 in prod.

Most stock R/T dyno between 190-210 hp depending on the dyno and weather conditions.

260 Flywheel-->155 Rear wheel==105HP loss (about 40%). That's about as hard to believe as Duner losing a race to a Yugo. :) Thier testing methods were probably flawed in some way, without seeing them I can't tell where though.

I did one with the cutout closed and one open, there was a gain of 8HP and 3 TQ with it open. So for $35 you can get some good results with a cut-out.
