I have a 1989 Dakota 4x4. The truck only has 100000,00 miles. Low for an 89. I have a howling noise in the passenger side front. Sounds kinda like brakes dragging but it's not. I have replaced rotor, pads, caliper, wheel bearing assem. , and complete shaft. The new pads are showing NO strange wear.Any ideas????

Maybe just insulation coming loose on the door.

Thanks but NOT!! It's more serious then that. It's with out a doubt something in the front end. This truck looks like new. No rust,no loose insulation.
Any Ideas?

Thanks Bob. The noise remains the same if I'm locked in or not. I have to ask what is in that vacumn portion of the front end.On the right side there is vacumn lines hooked to the housing and what looks like a cover that can be removed. Whats in here?? Has anyone ever had a problem here? Is there a bearing in there?
