I have a 99 Dakota 4x4 Sport Extended cab with 3.9 v6 and automatic tranny.

I am one of those who do not believe in having ABS so I removed the ABS fuse (from driver side panel by steering wheel). My question is...other than the speedo/odometer being disabled and the ABS idiot light illuminated on the dash, are there any ill effects that pulling the ABS fuse will cause longterm?

I find the brakes work smoother with ABS removed but with these computerized trucks now days I don't want to cause any damage to the truck/computer/etc.

I am already sold on the idea of no ABS but don't want to make/cause damage to computer or tranny or ABS components because of a pulled ABS fuse.

Any others have experience with this?

Thanks in advance for your replies.
