mike, you know the wrx can be modded too, right? it dosent take too much cash (probably less than what the turbo ugrade alone on your truck costs) to get them into the 12's

even with the turbo on the R/T's they are still limited to little boost because of the headgaskets.

Jesse, check out www.i-club.com... they have some verry good info on what works with the wrx's

i have heard of people running up to 17lbs on a stock engine. most people keep it at 15-16lbs

with a built engine, i wouldnt be suprised if they can do over 20lbs.

Only thing about the Subaru's I don't like...

They are a PAIN IN THE BUTT to do engine work on! Simple bolt ons are ok, but to do any cams or heads you basically have to disassemble the front of the car because of the Opposing engine. The cylinder heads are just about flat up against the wheel wells... makes a lot of torque though, and runs smooth... just a pain to work on. Made for small oriental fingers and arms I think...

saw a couple of those in the hamptons about a month ago. i think that probably close to as good looking as a car can get

however that doesnt include li blackdak w/ blue apc washer fluid sprayer LEDs, which make my truck the best looking dak ever and add 100 hp which lets me toast R/Ts

Whooo. That is $14,589.00 that will get you a 650 hp car that will take 35 mph turns at 80 mph running at 30 psi. Plus add a stage 2 nitrous system and you can add another 250 hp. That is 900 fuc*ing hp!!! Holy crap. That is enough to give my 85 year grandpa a boner. I would like to see a Daily Driver Dakota do that. Now all I need to do is win the lottery and I'm all set. haha

I'll settle this. I'll race anyone, no matter how modded their WRX is. I'll even race for pink slips. Only catch is I choose the race loaction.

And I choose Moab, Utah.

And not the streets there...the trails.

Without lifting my truck I can do some pretty crazy things there that will destroy the WRX. And if I felt like it I could go pretty damn fast on the road as well.

But I do have to give my friends outback some respect I've seen it do some intresting looking things. Not tough off roading, but intresting. However changing the spark plugs on it with normal tools is well...impossible.

Nick, for someone who lives in a place like southern california (like myself), there is no need for offroad capibility. So, a turbo'd AWD car would be awsome to own!

I"m not defending the WRX and it can't handle boulder hopping, but keep in mind that it has whipped some serious a$$ in offroad rally racing.

Yeah that wrx is a nice car but from what I've seen of them their clutches and trannys arent quite as tough as they need to be! My buddy burned out the clutch sittin at the light at the track. He's not a bad driver just had that boost controller on it and it seemed like it was too much for it. Then had to get the tranny worked on a month after that so he took the boost controller off and its been fine! Plus he drives it like it is supposed to be driven! Power slides at 45 mph And high rev launches killed it! I beat my R/T just as much as he beats his car and mine is still tickin plus he is only at my front bumper ahead of me to 60 mph. I think the only thing better is that its all wheel drive and is better to drive on those curvy roads but I'll tell ya what my R/T isnt to far behind!!!!!

IDK when i have money ill get an R/T just for the hell of it. I'd rather turbo my se-r then get a WRX though though awd or not. fast cars have to look good and they don't!!!

#1 reason to own an RT instead of a wrx----look at that fcking thing,it is topped by few vehicles in the UGLY category. What is up with those bug eyed headlights?I test drove one,and didnt feel there was enough torque throughout the rpm range.Close the door after getting in,and it sounds like a metal trash can when you put the lid on it!I'll give it props for handling, and it has impressive #'s,but they need to remove that shell, and start fresh.May as well be driving down the street on souped up farm tractor!

A WRX all the way. Anyone who chooses anything else is just retarded. A $50 boost control will put that showroom 4door sedan in the low 13's on street tires. With slicks your talking 12's. As far as offroad I would still choose the WRX, I guess you guys dont watch much speedvision on the rally races. A WRX on nice adjustable coilovers will still dust a dakota on the trail. As far as imports you guys have no idea. I drive a honda hatch and challenge anyone in AZ to a race. Just dont get mad when you lose.
