Where you at? I have an 87 Dakota, std cab, 3.9V6 w/auto. No air, nothing fancy, does have an aluminum topper. 140,000+ miles. New battery, new starter, decent tires & exhaust. It's located in Brllion, WI, about 30 miles south of Green Bay.
I'm asking about $1200.

you start having tranny problems and engine problems that are serious around 220,000 at least there are 15 genI daks in the junk yards around here (other side of wisconsin from Andy) and the lowest miles on any of them is 223,xxx, and a local dodge mechanic told me thy are good for 200k depending on the driver, so if you can find one with under 150k miles it should last a while as a beater truck
good luck
and the engines are easy to work on, plenty of room under hood and all pretty simple

Well i am located out here in the swamp in Flordia. I would deff be looking for a 5-speed
I just want something that can take a beatin(trail rides/mudding) more then once with out loosing something expensive
now you know thats..................

my freind just picked up a beater.. 88 3.9er 2 wheel drive.. no options .. all manual.. jeez gotta roll the windows down.. lol strong runner at 383,000 kms
hes askin 500 cdn up here.. so i dont think its any use to you down there..lol
