You have to find a local dealer. Amsoil's website will give you a form to fill out and get the number of one.

Since this will definitly be seen by our friendly Amsoil dealer...what should I put in my transfer case? 97, 318.

Same fluid in front and rear differentials right? And I can definitly say that Amsoil in your tranny (manual) makes it so much smoother.

Let me answer these one at a time if I can.

Mike2 (first part of your inquiry),

AMSOIL offers two Synthetic 10w-30 motor oils. The XL-7500 10w-30 (product code XLT) which has a 7,500 mile or six month oil change interval (whichever comes first) and the AMSOIL 10w-30 "Turbo Formulated / Severe Duty" Motor Oil (product code ATM).

The10w-30 "Turbo / Severe Duty" has a recommended 25,000 mile or one year change interval that was developed by AMSOIL nearly twenty years ago to address the problems of turbochargers and their tendancy to cook the engine oil and plug the oil lines ..."coking".

Since 1972 AMSOIL has been offering Synthetic oils capable and proven to provide 25,000 miles or one year oil change intervals in mechanically sound engines however some people just couldn't find themselves going that far between oil changes.

AMSOIL developed the AMSOIL XL-7500 back in 1997 to target those potential customers (adverse to extended drain) and to provide a Premium Synthetic Oil for the "Quick Lube" industry to offer to their customers.(7500 mile change vs 3000 mile change)

The AMSOIL XL-7500 Motor Oils have proven to be a more profitable oil for quick lubes while providing motorists with a cost savings over using petroleum oil and changing it every 3,000 miles, It's a win / win situation for the quick lube owner and the consumer as well.

I'm not avoiding you at all. Unfortunately it was Saturday when you asked and I won't be back in the office till Monday to find out for you. If you wanted a "dealer" in Plano I could locate one immediately. A "retail off the shelf" will require me to check my records at the office and make a couple of follow up phone calls.

2Blue,
I will check Houston for you also for "off the shelf"

CAN YOU BOTH PROVIDE ME WITH ZIP CODES TO MAKE THE SEARCH EASIER? :-)

Steven can register you as a preferred customer and save you a whole lot of money (about two dollars per Qt.) and UPS will deliver your order to your front door.
Plus ... You will recieve a subscription to the AMSOIL Action News magazine (A monthly magazine full of valuable information).
Becoming a preferred customer is the way to go in my book unless of course you just have plenty of money to spend.

Hope that this info helped.

Amsoil has fourteen (14) distribution facilities in the United States ... including one in Hawaii. Your order will be shipped UPS from the Hawaii distribution facility and the shipping charges you see are what UPS charges Amsoil.

You can order from the catalog, from my "SECURE" website or send me an email with the best date and time to call you to assist you with setting up "Preferred Customer" and your first order.

Thanks for asking.

Amsoil Warranty
IP: Logged

Message:

Somewhere and someplace someone asked about Amsoil Warranty. I can't find the post with the question so I will post here.
--------------------------------------------------
Most Important: Keep accurate service records and all purchase receipts
--------------------------------------------------
Vehicle manufacturers recommend using motor oils meeting certain grades and American Petroleum Institute (API) service requirements. Whether the motor oil is petroleum based or synthetic will not affect warranty coverage. The manufacturer is required to cover all equipment failures it would normally cover as long as the oil meets the requirements and was not the cause of the failure.

AMSOIL exceeds these requirements and has never been deemed the cause of an engines failure. Even so, AMSOIL has its own limited warranty, protecting you even further. In addition, the federally mandated Magnuson-Moss Act states that a manufacturer may not require the use of a specific brand of aftermarket product unless it is provided free of charge.

* If a car dealership, service center or other business states that using AMSOIL will void your new vehicle warranty, ask for that statement in writing and send it to AMSOIL Technical Services (AMSOIl Inc., AMSOIL Bldg, Superior, WI 54880). If the business won't provide the statement in writing send AMSOIL Technical Services a letter identifying who made the statement, the name and location of the business and what the specific statement was. AMSOIL will then send a letter to the business informing them that their position is inaccurate, and, in fact violates existing law. Your name will be held in confidence. A sample of this letter can be provided upon request.
--------------------------------------------------
For additional information on Amsoil's Limited Warranty please visit my website.
--------------------------------------------------
Amsoil's Limited Warranty is in effect when Amsoil Products are used in mechanically sound engines, providing, of course the oil is kept free of contaminants by changing the oil filter according to the manufacturer's recommendation or, when using an AMSOIL Super Duty Oil Filter, changing the filter based on Amsoils oil and filter change recommendations.

Additionally, if there is ever a question of whether or not a particular oil was the cause of an engine failure make sure to get a sample of the used oil in a clean bottle, typically 6 oz. minimum. The oil can then be sent to two independent testing labs for analysis (labs are located throughout the country).

A reminder: Keep accurate service records and all purchase receipts
--------------------------------------------------
Remember, an informed consumer is your best defense against being taken advantage of by a vehicle dealership or service center.

Art,

HDD is Amsoil's Heavy Duty Diesel Oil.

Amsoil XL-7500 10w-30 (product code XLT) has a 7,500 mile or six month oil change interval (whichever comes first)

The 10w-30 "Turbo/Severe Duty" has a recommended 25,000 mile or one year change (whichever comes first) interval that was developed by AMSOIL nearly twenty years ago (change Amsoil Filter at 6 months or 12,500 miles)

Does this clear things up?

92dakotahd,

No, ...you do not HAVE to spend $100 per year. It is just that if you do ... you will save AT A MINIMUM the $20 annual "preferred customer" fee. There is also the option of a "6 MONTH TRIAL" for $10.

1) If you think you will be buying $100 of Amsoil Products annually, $20 per year will buy you "Preferred Customer" status ($10 for six month trial) whereby you will save up to 25% off retail, and you will save money. Otherwise you can order direct from the catalog at retail prices. Preferred Customers also receive a FREE subscription to Amsoil Action News, a monthly magazine devoted to Product and Industry news.

2) Amsoil is more than Synthetic Lubrication. We also carry Hastings Filters, BOSCH Plugs, Wire Sets, and Wiper Blades.

3)Amsoil also has the Altrum Division which includes AGGRAND Organic Fertilizer, Altrum Vitamins and Nutritional Supplements, Water Filtration, and Detergents ... all of which you can order at a discount with the SAME "Preferred Customer" status.

Family members can "pool" their orders and order
in bulk, saving up to 25% as preferred customers,
obtain quantity discounts, and save on shipping,
which is handled by UPS. Unfortunately, my mother
stopped paying my bills about 25 years ago so I
would have to pay for my own order.

Amsoil Warehouse Locations

I have had many requests asking for locations where Amsoil can be "picked up" rather than delivered via UPS. Many Retail Stores carry Amsoil, but it is difficult to obtain an address list since they often operate as Independent Amsoil Commercial or "On-the-Shelf" locations. Another option os to "pick up" the product direct from the warehouse. You can still request a catalog, order, and then "pick up" at the warehouse locations if you choose.
