My insurance policy specifically states that non factory parts are not covered unless detailed and insured. I think virtually all policies have this same requirement/exclusion. (better check yours!)
I have added all sorts of stuff to my truck which now is technically not insured. I intend to price the additional insurance and will likely get it depending on the cost. I probably have added $5000 worth of extra stuff.
Anyone have experience on what the cost should be to add full coverage on this?
