Hello, I own a 2001 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab. I am making plans to construct my own Canopy for it, I figure it's less expensive then buying one. I've been looking all around the net to find all the stats and measurements that I need, but I havent' found ANY. You'd figure that the Dealer site would have the specs, but I didnt' find them. I know the bed of my truck is 5-3/4, I'm not sure of the depth of the bed, and around the wheel wells, etc. So if anyone out there has the specs handy, or knows of a site, I'd appreciate the information. Thanks!!!

See if your Dodge Dealer has any 2001 or 2002 Dakota brochures. The dimensions are in there. I have both but not with me right now. If I remember to bring it to work with me, I'll post it tomorrow. Off the top of my head the QC box is pretty much the same as the CC except for length. I believe the QC is 5'3" long, 17.5" deep and around 44 inches between wheel wells. The overall width though I think is somewhere around 51" wide. This just off the top of my head.

If you have the truck, can't you just use a measuring tape?
Why do you need the wheel well measurements for a canopy, it just sit's on the bed rails?
Just curious.

hehe, yeah, I have measured it, I just would like to see the manufacturers specs. The reason why I need the wheel measurements and other things is because I am going to be moving in a couple months, and want to know how much room I'll have to cram junk back there. I want to know how much room I'll have in the bed so I can figure out how tall I'll need to build my canopy.
Do you happen to know anybody with a used cap for sale?

Now that's what I call efficient packing!
Sorry, can't help you on your search. I've only seen a few Quads with canopies, but they look pretty good.
