Subject: Reg. Cab Jack Holder

Hi all-
I have a question for all of you Regular Cab dak owners or really anyone who can help me. I want to remove my jack from inside the cab of my 1997 Regular Cab Dak. So I removed the lug wrench and jack, but how do I get rid of the actual holder for it? It seems to be welded or punched down with hold of some sort to the actual metal of the floor. How can I get that thing up without digging into the floor of the cab and making holes?

Thanks for the help in advance.

Yeah, the only way to get rid of it is to cut it out using a sawzall or other cutting tool. It's a bracket that is welded to the floorpan.

I used a Dremel with a couple cutoff wheels. Just go slow with it and be sure to wear eye protection. With a little time you can cut/grind it until it's smooth with the floor.
