Subject: installing 2" LIFT

Message:
I was thinking about doing the 2"fabtech lift that just had the front coils and front and rear shocks. How hard would this be to install and what tools would it take?

its pretty easy... shocks just change out like normal shocks and springs arent that bad. You will need new cotter pins for the castle nuts, a tool to break the ball joints loose from the upper control are and other basic hand tools. You wont need any type of spring compressor it you put a floor jack under the lower control are and SLOWLY let it down when you release the ball joints... this will allow the springs to become unsprung and just pull them out by hand.

just to let you know i use to have that kit and it was pretty nice. I used 30" bfgoodrich all terrains but i coulda and shoulda had the 31"s...

good luck!

i didnt but you should any time you alter the ride height or suspension geometry. The reason i never did was because i wanted to lift it more and i didnt want to spend twice the money to get it aligned..... but i got lowered instead.

So with the 2" lift you could fit 31's with no scrubbing?
