lot's of 1 ton's draggin' trailers around here they take up 4 or 5 spaces. not to mention the local dirt trackers that travel in packs. it's just a few parking spaces, if some one life is so bad that he goes pit bull over a parking spot maybe some aroma therapy or something would help. Turn on

ctually even if your parking brake is on thats of no concern to the tow truck driver, I talked to one for 2 hours as my new Dakota was towed 100 miles after it puked the tie rod up.
He said they just winch it onto the flat bed, doesnt matter if the rear tires are locked.

I got another story that involves hitting something and not notifying the owner about it. And it was done on the family hotel property.
We have a 8 feet tall State of Liberty in front of our newly built hotel. It used to sit in center of the parking lot (we thought we gave plenty of space for cars to go around it and park away from it).
So one rainy night, I was at home with my parents and we got a phone call from the hotel about a broken statue. Dad and I rushed over to the hotel and we found the entire Statue of Liberty in so many pieces. The arm broke off, the base were torn off from the ground, etc. Our employee said she saw a white car back into it, pause, and then left the parking lot in a hurry. She tried to run after it and identify the driver. She remembered it was a delivery boy who delivered food for a guest staying our hotel.
So she and I went to the Chinese restaurant and searched for a white car. I got out and looked at the rear bumper for any green markings (remember, the statue is green), and it did some. So I wrote the license plate number on a piece of paper because I wanted to call the local cops and press full charges while avoiding a scene with the driver.
A teenage boy walked out and looked at what I was doing and slowly approached his car. I shrugged off and went to my truck to head back.
So we were all at the hotel and dad was getting ready to call and LOL this boy comes back having to make another delivery for another guest staying at our hotel. "What a sucker, I thought." And showed dad the driver who knocked down the statue.
Dad got angry, made HIM write down a written statement that he knocked it down, tried to run off without notifying the owner, his driver's license, insurance info, AND sign the document.
The total damages? Almost $2000.00 plus shipping from New York. What can I say, only idiots get caught so easily.

The date was September 21, 2001. Like everyone else I was kinda pissed at Arabs at that time. I'm walking out of the hotel I was staying in and this little arab kid (17 or 18 years old) opens his daddys toyota suv door right into my Dak. I of course confronted him. He looks right at the dent in my door and said "Bird (crap) would do worse." (my pocket knife stayed in my pocket thus allowing me to avoid jail time) I just stared him down as he went back into the hotel. The dent i put in the toyota was twice as bad as the one he put in my door.
Happy ending!!!

f the Universe have to prove a point by parking to close or pissing on it(not), but you drive by the crack dealers on the corners and turn your head (because they may shoot back if you do something to stop it) like it's not happening.
In reality, I've been parking x-ways of 2 parking spaces for 15+ years and have yet to have any one able to park that close to my driver door. I have had some folks give me some real dirty looks, mumble under their breath (because they have no Kahunas). Maybe the 6'1"/250#, bubba looking, to thick in the upper body frame I carry.
If you truly respect yours and my equipment then when you see some one parked across 2 parking space's you'de think:
1. Nice Ride
2. Wish I'de thought of or remembered to do that.
3. There is a person that takes a lot of pride in his ride.
4. Next time I will park like that to protect my Ride.
5. Maybe the driver or passenger is handicapped how would I know.
Instead you think:
1. What an A$$, who does he/she think he/she is?
2. That pi$$es me off because I can't remember to do that.
3. If they are handicapped $crew them.
If someone dings your ride, scrapes your ride, backs into your ride it's 110% their fault. Well not true, the cliche' is "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure". I take that ounce of prevention, and cover my 25% of the responsibility for taking care of my ride.
Pull off the blinders and look around, other people have different views of right and wrong, and you are not 100% correct all the time.

No, I dont think any of those things when some jackass does that. I think 'that arrogant jackass deserves to have his sh!t keyed.' Or 'goddarit, Im already running late, there isn't a single spot in the lot, and the one single parking space left is taken up buy this arrogant fock so now Im gonna be even later because I have to park a quarter mile away since he felt like he was too good to only have one spot.' I will awlays park as far away as possible but I will NEVER take up two spots, regardless of the risk to my sheet metal, unless it's a completely empty parking lot. My need to show consideration for other people and recognize that I am not the only person in the world or on the road overrides my concern about door dings.

And the one time I damaged someone's vehicle when I was 16 and had just started driving, I waited in the back of my truck for 45 minutes for them to come back so I could straighten it out right then and there.

Over the years living in appartment buildings I have had many of my cars hit by other drivers. My 86 IROC was hit two times by the same woman within three days. She tried to say it was someone else but I proved it was her and made her pay the full amount.
My 81 Z28 was hit in the same parking lot but that woman came forward and offered to pay. I took it easy on her. I only charged her for the parts since the car was in need of paint I told her not to worry about that.
I`m still looking for the scum bag that hit my 68 camaro.
Thankfully my Dakota hasnt been hit yet.(knock on wood)
The one that got to me the most was back in 96 when I was living in Winnipeg Manatoba. I was driving my Aunt to the mall on Xmas eve in my mint condition 79 malibu. I parked the car and when we got out the car moved ahead a foot and a half. I looked up to see a dodge intrepid had hit me from behind. I went to look for damage and the guy got out of his car and started walking away. I yelled out excuse me but you hit my car. He came back and said Did we touch bumpers. and then said these things happen and walked away. I was stuned and at a loss for words. My Aunt said I cant beleive the nerv of that guy, and that she was proud of me for keeping my cool and that 5 years ago I would have made him eat the bumper. There was no damage so we went about our shopping. When we came back to the car, his was still there. I started my car and my Aunt again says I cant beleive the nerv of that guy. I pulled the car forward about 5 feet and slamed it in reverse with my foot on the floor. Steel bumper vrs plasic in 35 below temp = lots of scatered plastic. I felt much better.
Sorry for the long post, I just thought I`d share that with you all.

I was sitting in my truck waiting for my wife when some dumb bitch in an older Jag Sovereign hit the rear of my truck. I wanted to wait and see what she would do so I just sat in my truck. She glanced over, saw me, turned around and went in the mall.
I trashed her older Jag. Completely trashed it. I don't think there was one panel that wasn't dented. When my wife finally arrived back at the truck she looked at the Jag and said, "Oh I love Jags...too bad that ones so messed up". I just chuckled and said, "It sure is."
