Subject: No performance gain from mods.

I have a 99 R/T CC. First time to the track with a flowmaster catback, mopar PCM, and a home made air intake, I ran a 14.88@90.54, the temp was around 45 degrees. Since then Ive added a shift kit, new plugs, cap & rotor, removed the cat and used a O2 simm, and just finished a M1 intake install and relocated my IAT to the intake pipe. I've ran the truck after every mod, and I have yet to run any quicker than a 15.0. The temperature has obviously gotten hotter, so I took that into consideration, but last weekend I ran my truck with the M1 and ran a 15.5, and the temperature was around 90 degrees at 9:00 at night with the humidity thick enough to cut with a knife. Is my problem the temperature, or could something be wrong with my truck? Please Help!

are you spining more with the mods? what are your 60' times? the humdity and heat will play a big factor in the times too!

Magnum motors can't run for poopoo in the heat.. you need to make another two or three runs when it is 45 degrees again (with sticky tires this time) and you will see gains. Guaranteed.

My 60' times haven't changed, They are consistant 2.2's. Traction is definately not a factor, the truck doesn't spin at all. I know my truck feels alot quicker late at night when the tempurature dips down in the low 70's, I just expected to run atleast a 14.5 with my mods in the same weather as my previous best run. I just can't imagine that the temperature would knock a full second off of my time.

I'm still running the stock manifolds. The only mods done to the truck, are the ones listed originally. I still have the stock Throttle Body, unported, also.

With the M1 you need a little more to go fast, bigger throttle body and headers. However you will not see your 45 degree times improve much in hot weather, so don't sweat it. (no pun intended)
