I have a 2001 Qc 4x4 with the 4.7 and the tow package. I've got a trailor with a six plug connector. I got an adaptor from a six to a seven plug which is what mine is. I was heading down the road with the box trailor at about 55mph and the trailor brakes locked up. It took about 12 miles before it happened. My friends truck does the same thing. He has the same truck except its the CC. Do i need to change the wires in the new connector to operate the brakes or what do i need to do??? Help!

Not sure if your truck is the same as mine but in my owners manual I think I remember reading something about the truck being pre wired under the dash for a trailer brake setup you may want to check that out, also my truck 01 came with the plug adapter 4 to 6 or 7? and a harness which I believe is for a trailer brake
