WEll guys i finally made the move to Waukesha. Gotta tell ya though, ya'll are a different kinda folk. No offense mean't. Everyone I've met so far has been unusually friendly and polite. ya'll got some strange words for things, course i reckon Texas does too. I do have a couple questions if i have not offended anyone.

What is frozen custard? Is it ice cream? It tastes like ice cream. What do ya'll call custard?

Why is it that at every stop i come to there are at least 60% of the cars with personalized plates?

What is with the crazy speed limits? 25 mph on a four lane road?

Why does it feel like Texas, where are the cool temps?

Does anyone realize that "Chi Chi's" as in the restaurant means "boobs" in spanish?

Any help would be appreciated. Looking forward to learning more. BTW i am enjoying this place so far. just a bit confused on some things and trying not to miss home.

Here in Wisconsin we go from 90s in the summer , most of the time in the 70s and 80s, to about 10s in the winter, most of the time from 10-30, so we get a braod range of wheather, frozen custard?

who was that other guy from New Richmond, how old and where from in town?

Thanks guys for the welcome. Ironhead I did get the 4wd. It was a pain in the a$$ trying to get around the hunting lease in hill country when the rains come in. Nothing but mud and rock. 2wd drive just doesn't cut it.

SuperBee---There are a couple places around here that look like ice cream stores but the sell frozen custard. i think one of them is called Kopps. Anyway it tastes like ice cream to me.

In any case a meet sounds good to me I know that a lot of the fellas on this post have talked about it.

You're really going to love our winters. =) Don't make the mistake most people with 4x4's do. I see just as many 4x4's in the ditch as I see 2WD cars. =) If you think we're bad with personalized plates (I have one too), Illinois is even worse. You'll grow to dislike most of the flatlanders coming up here to disregard laws and litter. On the positive side, they bring us a lot of money!

I thought the Twin Cities people all had cottages/cabins in northern MN? Why do they have to spill over into WI? You see a lot of cars with MN license plates in the U.P. of Michigan.

I have a 99 CC 318 4x4, Intense Blue i think its called, I have removed all the decals but the V8 symbols and i added clear signals. It also has a dual exhaust system from Exhaust Pros in Madison and i have stainless steel tips on it. Oh, also I am only 19. Only in town for the summer and some weekends cause I go to college in Oshkosh. Hope we can all meet up sometime, i think it would be great. E-mail is gregdakota@hotmail.com if ya want to talk.

Hey Greg -- I think I saw you not too long ago. That's assuming there isn't another Dak like yours around here. So far it's the only Intense Blue Dak I've seen in the Madison area.

Well not the only one, but I havent seen any blue ones with out decals and clear corners. I did talk to a guy with a black Sport and he was asking about removing the decals...his truck is the only other one i have seen in the area without decals. Oh...anyone know about the yellow Dak with a superbee on the side running around madison area? Sharp looking truck!

I need help guys, no one answered me when i posted this before...maybe one of you can help.

((I have a 1999 5.2L 4x4 with 40000 miles on it, and i noticed that when I drive at a constant speed anywhere between 40 and 80mph that my engine "surges". By "surges" I mean that the RPM's jump 100-200 for a second or two then go back to how it was. It does this randomly. I havent noticed if it does it above or below those speeds because i do mostly highway miles. If anyone has an idea on what it is please post a message. Cause it is driving me nuts. Thanks in advance.))

My Dakota has changed it's appearance slightly and it continues to go through its tranformation. I'm going to have to update my profile photo! I've not seen a deep amythest Dakota anywhere. I see a lot of black, red and white. I saw my first Atlantic blue Dak yesterday. I have to drive past Don Miller every day to go to work, but I don't count anything I see there. =)

I'm not sure how old this string is I just did a Wisconsin search. I'm in Milwaukee and drive a 2000 Quad with a loud stereo and am planning on a supercharger. By the way I'm 42. Not too old to be loud.
