How much is everyones insurence for their trucks? Im just asking because I want to know whats out there and how much I would be looking at in paying for insurance. Im looking for model years 97-98 dakotas extended cab 4x4, but any model would help, all your help would be appreciated. Thanks

Wow, I can't belive how some of you guys get so shafted on insurance costs.
$972 a year for maximum coverage in California. And that is after the 6 points increase in the vehicle rating symbol. Dodge Dakota Quad Cab currently rates a 16.
In 2000 they only rated it a 10 and for the same insurance it only cost me $831.
Has any one else in other states had their symbol rate change increasing the cost of their insurance??
Just curious.
So what is everyone paying for their registration??
California $553 a year. But that includes $65 for specialty plates.

Used to pay about $240 a year here in Phoenix, Got onto my girl friends policy (co-habitation thing), now pay $89 a month for full coverage .

Hey Dr0p0ff, I couldn't believe it either, along with paying $200 / month (they bill me 10 times a year) for insurance I pay $440 for the truck and another $200 in gas per month Which comes out to $840 per mo just to drive my truck.

clevite- we'll see what the insurance does when i get back.. i bought an audi a few weeks ago so i need to get that insured, but it shouldn't go up too much. get a discount for having a second vehicle, will be getting married pretty soon too, so there's another discount.
