My trailer plug running lights went out. After checking everything, found it was the harness had worn thru by the gas tank. The dealer fixed it as I didn't have 12,000 yet.

on my 98 the fuse for the tail lights also controls the parking lights (but not the turn signals) and the instrument lights. If they are all gone then it would be the parking light fuse as on my truck... but there sometimes another problem with the head lamp switch... if you have the old pull knob style they are known to go bad (been through three of em on my 98) and will not turn all the lights on. It just happened to my brothers 98 jeep. You pull the knob all the way and just the headlights come on.. but if you push it in the headlights go off and the other lights come on.... but if you get it just right all of them will go on... suggestion... if its not a fuse try blaming the light switch.

hey joe, with a test light to the battery ground, check all fuses. looks can fool you. next with test light to battery ground, check for voltage into the brake light switch and with the pedal depressed voltage out. if you show no voltage out, unplug the connector and "jump" the harness. if the lights then work it's a bad switch, if they still don't work you have either a broke positive wire going to the lights or a bad ground to the lites. to test for ground to the lites, get the assembly unbolted and supply a temp ground and see if they work that way. don't forget to depress the pedal when testing. if temp ground doesn't work then it's most likely the positive side. not sure how much knowledge you have, i'm in central md and have a cell phone that let's me call the east coast from maine to s.c.. maybe i can call you and give you piont to piont check help. # is 3014662304 the stranger
