I would like to know if it is possible to spray paint the stock exauhst manifolds on a 93 Dakota w/318. I would like to make the inside of the engine compartment a little better looking so what other things would look good with a little color?

I used black BBQ grill paint from walmart, looked good and lasted awhile. You will have to reapply once a year or so.

What about painting the air box and the intake tubes. I did this before on my old minivan, to dress up the engine. It really looks sharp. If you do this make sure that you sand the parts so the paint can stick better.

How do you guys think that high temp engine paint for intake manifolds, air filter housings, etc. work on the exauhst manifolds? It says its good up to 500F. How hot do the stock manifolds get?

I bought some high temp black ceramic paint from napa and its holding up rather well. Its getting a little gray after 500 miles but all of the ceramics change color. It still looks alot better.I glass beaded my manifolds to get everything to stick better. They look like new.
