Hallo all together!
After two month waiting, i got my QC 2001 Sport, 4,7,black with all the little things that we must have. I,am living in Austria and this is the first 2001 in the country. I love this truck!!
In the waitingtime i allways read this forum and there are realy good informations and tips to read.

Congrats on your new truck!! I have a 2000 slt and its black too, but damn hard to keep clean!! I suggest using Meguires products, they have a 3 step process, 1- wash it twice, 2-use the cleaner and 3- polish. The polish works great! The darker the color, the more coats you want to use, I put on 3 coats, and it looks better than it did in the showroom!!! It takes forever, but its worth it, took me 9 to 10 hours, but I'm way to pickey about my truck. Also, between washes,I use the California duster, works great.

I, too, just bought a 2001 Black Dakota QC Sport. I couldn't have made a better choice. The 4.7l V8 has more power than should be allowed in a non full-size truck! Although, do any of you guys notice any squeaking brakes (sort of a quick sqeak, around 1-2 seconds)when slowing down from 65-70 MPH? I'm sure it's not a big deal, but I do notice it.
Anyway, happy truckin'.

Dont notice any noise, but I know I'll be listening for it now. I guess the disks on these trucks sucks, but if you look under my post under performance, then brakes, you will find a kind soul who had some info.

Guys, on your black or dark colored trucks, you might want to check out www.zainobros.com. An awsome wax system. I use it on my 2001 Z28 and my soon to be:
2001 Black QC 5.9L - still in pieces at the factory.

To get a dakota from usa to austria is realy expensive. (3500$) but the shipping is not the biggest part. There must be any modifications on the truck to get a technical license to drive it in austria. But! everybody is looking at the truck! There are so much Nissans and Mitsubishis... and they have all no "power" !
