ok, the shop called and said they replaces the front seal where it was leacking from and no go, still leaked, ok whatever, but he also said that the tranny looks like it had been pulled out B4 and it was messed up, so somone must have tried fixing it themselves and f#cked it up, there were incorect bolts in there, and some other stuff i cant remember right now, he said it wasnt right and prolly is not worth fixing the tranny, so what should i do? you think i should get a new/rebuilt tranny and have them put that in there? I dont wanna get rid of the truck because i have put so much time and money into it cuz i just love the truck,
its a 1990 rc auto, i have prolly put more money into it so far than was originaly paid for it, so i dont want to be out all that money i spent on accessories and stuff, well ill have to see what its going to cost to fix it and go from there
why cant people take it somewhere to get it fixed rather than trying themselves and f#ucking it up, i have put over 10k miles on it and no tranny problems, and most of these trannys will go 200k plus in the gen 1s with no problems, so im thinking that the previous owner must have tried fixing it himself and f#cked it up, GGGRRRRRR
im starting to feel like Knobbyman here

Wait a minute. When you get that type of advice from a shop, take it to another place for a second opinion. They may have a totally different perspective that isnt so "Doomsday". Even a third opinion if you need.

well this is actualy the only place i trust, they arent looking for buisiness i know that for a fact, but as i said, other places have told people in my family that something is wrong and this and that is bad and the people that are fixing my truck are the ones who told us, no that isnt true, its jsut fine
im going to stop out there tomorrow and have a looksee
