Here's the problem,
When I turn on my LEFT turn signal, both taillights blink. When I turn on my RIGHT turn signal just the right taillight blinks. When I apply my brakes the right taillight does NOT come on. When I turn on my running lights, all lights work as normal.

I have a 2001 CC 3.9 4x4.

I changed all applicable fuses both in the in-cab fuse panel and under the hood in the PDC. I also put in a new taillight in the right. Nothing seemed to work.

I am thinking of taking it to the dealership tomorrow, but I hate to do so because I use my truck so much in my job. Is there anything that I can try to get it to work so I can avoid a trip to the dealer? Thanks!

Just taking a shot in the dark here but did you
change the blinker? (Don't know if Dakotas
have one or where it would be though) I had
the same problem in a VW GTI I once owned.
Hope this helps. Good luck.

Do you have a towing package on it? Or is it wired for trailer lights? If so I could check there first. If not..... I'm no help at all! hehehe

Sounds like a "grounding" problem. Check all ground wire connections.

He's right Bill, could be the flasher also in the fusebox. Try the 4-ways and see what happens. Or else I'll bet it's a bad ground.

I took a look at the flasher fuses and those seemed to look fine to me. I suspect it is something in the grounding that isn't right. I may take a look at it tonight or just take it in to the dealer tomorrow because i got a big 14 hour day at work tomorrow:( Thanks for the help!
