Whenever I see my truck parked somewhere, I always find myself staring at it. Just looks so good, sittin all close to the ground, with the freshly waxed yellow paint shinning in the sun. anybody else do this, or am I just weird?

I do the same thing. I especially like it when mine is sitting next to a little ricer (mine is 4x4) it looks like it could roll right over it! The Dakota has got to be the best looking truck on the road!

Same here - even when I come home and am in for the night, if I pass a window on the front of my house, I have to take a minute to look out at my Dak parked in the driveway. Looks even better in direct sunlight with the pearlcoat paint.

Been trying to resist posting here all morning.

I have to be really careful not to run into the traffic in front of me as I 'gaze' into the glass of commercial buildings looking at my Dak's reflection as I drive by.

johnc, im guilty of that one too. everyday when coming into work i gaze into the lexus building windows... when they kinda distort it a bit.. looks so mean when it reshapes the grill a little, but mainly its the look of the truck moving that I like.

Wow, so Im not the only one that dose that, I just had mine buffed yesterday, I almost triped on the way into work beacuse I kept on looking bak at it. Im droping mine soon so I will probaly trip for sure next time.

EVERYTIME I go into a restaurant I try to park where I can look at my truck. (Partly due to the little $h!+s that try to steal my headlight covers) but my GF always has to hit my hand and tell me to stop staring out the window. I had a fit last week at Pizza Hut when someone closed the blinds and I couldn't see my truck. :(

did you ever go to parking lot and look for a place that is empty of all vehicles so no one will bang ur trk with doors or carts and when u come out there is vehicles all around u ? , man that freeks me out. and i walk a long way to do that to lol.

1.) I park WAAAY away from people to protect my Dak from door dings, wayward shopping carts, and the like. Hell, if nothing else it gives me a little excercise that I don't see from my computer-geek job.
2.) I attempt, whenever I don't violate rule #1, to park where I can see my truck when I go into a restaurant
3.) I've been "busted" staring at my truck through said restaurant's window
4.) I've went to the drive-through car wash to clean up the truck a little, and have ended up spending a day washing, waxing, and detailing.
5.) While I don't kiss my truck, I do have this thing of telling it good night when I tuck it into the garage for the day.
6.) And, I constantly look at other un-mod'ed Daks *gasp* with a mixture of superiority & horror...especially those without the flares...don't they look so PLAIN?!?!?

Dodge sure as hell nailed it on the head when it came to designing these trucks, others dont even compare. Well I'm off to wash her... she's starting to get that film of road dust that builds up after a couple days of no washing. I know, its sick but love my truck.

You may not have flares, but you have some other mods going for you, Leslie. You've got some grill work done and tires & rims. All I was saying is that the un-moded Daks without flares just look plain. Kind of like a can of generic beer...heh.
Maybe I'm just getting too used to seeing the Dak's & D's on the forums. All those that have been a bad influence on me!!

Mine is a90 and is aging, but i still wash it religiously only so you can see the blemishes, and i do park way int he boonies, i park wher ei can stare, i stop going to the bathroom at night on thw way to the bathroom so i can looka t my truck out the window cuz i think it looks cool at night
and a shoping cart at shopko hit it omnce while i was in there, one of the people gathering up all the cart let one get a way and hit my truck, he left it, i saw it happen, so as hes pushing the other ones into the store i back up 50 feet, get going about 20 and hit it with my grill guard,(I had put to little rubber pads on the front for hitting stuff with it without scratching it) and rammed the cart, cart goes flying a good distance, lands and break 2 wheels off and the l;ower part bent pretty good needless to say i sped off and stopped and laughed my @$$ off
