Subject: New Wax did the Trick!

I had tried everything on my Black paint, cheap wax, top of the line. All of them left an oily film after the haze was buffed off. I even used the $12 Zymol, no dice. Got the Meguiars Gold Class, about $10. Finally worked like its supposed to. Went on real thin and buffs off easy and no oily film! I would highly recommend this wax. There is a very noticeable smoothness to the waxed surface vs the unwaxed. Unwaxed drags where the wax glides nice and smooth. My two cents.
Also, I have the el cheapo water blade from Wal Mart and it works ok, doesn't have the T shape of the California Water Blade. Has anyone compared the two? Does the $20 version work a whole lot better. The cheap one works on a nice flat surface but leaves small drops behind on anything curved. let me know, thanks guys. Later

I finally broke down and bought the full sized water blade at Sams for about $13 ($20 is too much for a piece of silicone).

It works good! However, I use it in tandem with a cotton towel. I squgee off most of the water with the blade and so a final dry with the towel.

I've also used the Meguiars Gold Class with great results. Just don't get any on your plastic trim. Its a bitch to get off. (Gasoline worked best for me)
