You know, if I lived in Texas, I'd volunteer my time to SpeedTweaks just to shut some of these complainers up!

Yup im complaining, and your complainging about us complaining. So being your not in texas noone really gives a rat's a$$.

Ever think that i might be saving yall some money, Maybe on a 98 dakota R/T dosnt work well with a 300 dollar computer upgrade. That is what i am researching. But that is fine keep it up lol. When the truck is one of the fastest in texas, yall can look at me and say man he complained alot, but he got the info he needed.

NO difference at all?

PsychoRT - If you're just comparing timeslips then you could be waayy out to lunch. Differences in temps and humidity will effect the performance drastically. You may be expecting a bit too much from a raise in timing and slight changes to the fuel curves. The main difference is drivability and "feel".

The main difference you should feel between the two PCMs is at part throttle. The throttle response should be snappier. The shift points are raised somewhat. The rev limiter is raised and the speed limiter is removed.

Put the stock PCM back in and drive it for a few days. Then put the Performance PCM back in and then drive it for a few days. If you can't tell the difference between the two boxes than it's one of two things:

1) The new box is somehow defective or has been flashed back to stock parameters.

2) You can't tell the difference because you expect it to feel like a 100 shot of Nos.

That is the thing dont really feel different i mean yea it did change some stuff. But why when the stock box shifts at 4500 only and the new one shifts at 5000 i dont show any diff times. I took it to the track because i can not really feel the diff. So rather then jsut posting hey i cant feel nothing and yall saying well take to the track. I Tested it before i said anything and yes temp does have alot to do with it but your mph will stay genarally the same.

I race 15 times on sundays, and the track doesnt change that much all i can get out of it is 9.6 at 71 with computer and 9.6 at 71 mph without computer after running over 45 times. With all the things it changed i did not get any performance gain.

PsychoRT: Best scenario would be to Dyno the truck with the new PCM (since it's already had a chance to learn) and then with the original PCM (let it learn for about 200 miles though). Don't just swap PCM's at the dyno as the results won't be accurate. (Everytime you change the PCM...or items that affect the PCM output...you need to let it learn for about 200 miles.)

BTW: I'm trying to get a hold of a 50mm throttle body for you to try (loaner only). We had a similar problem (with a 2001 R/T) where the 52mm ran slower than the 50mm.

I should be on the dyno saturday morning and see what i find out. About the tb, If i am pulling to much cfm the truck should bog off the line if anything not at wot. I would think, jsut like the 4 barrell tb that mopar sells. It is to big for a normal run of the mill motor thus the motor cant get the incoming air out faster then it is pulling it in. My off idle and first and even top end rocks. It pulls hard in first and third but second and fourth blow fu*king chunks. I am relizing it more since the pcm has went in though. It chould be because i actually stay in second longer now to feel the bog. It is literally a night a day difference i used to be able to smoke the tires on a good first to second romp but it does not do this anymore.

But you might be correct on the tb. I havent actually had a chance to test the diff. The truck was bought used and the guy told me what all was done. And i have even gotten out a mm measuring tool to see exactly what tb i had. The guy before me was running 9.3's. I have been to the track well over 65 times and never could accomplish this feet and every mod that is done know is not producing on my truck. I was running a constant 9.8 then changed the cap and rotor and lightend the truck and got a 9.6 out of it then got the pcm and been stuck in this rut since ever time i change a mod after the pcm it does not improve my times it is stuck on 9.6 and goes up to 9.9.

Sounds like the TB cable isn't adjusted correctly (and would affect your shift point accordingly).
