I have a 2000 cc 4.7 3.55 auto. I ran the truck bone stock last summer with about 5500miles and my times were around 15.65. Since last summer I added a 360intakez and a custom catback flowmaster exaust (40 series 2.5in dual out the rear.) My truck now has 11000 miles and I ran at the same track and the same temp. range last night. Here is my best time. 60ft: 2.238 1/8: 9.939 1/4: 15.71
at 84.11mph. I was not expecting huge gains with these slight mods., but I sure was not expecting to lose this much. Dont get me wrong I love the truck and the sound the exaust makes but I question if the mods. really are worth it. my mpg has not changed either. If anyone knows where my bottleneck is please tell me or why Im slower now. Sorry for the long post and thanks for the great site guys!

The mods you listed probably only gave you a few horsepower, if they even gave you any at all. You didn't mention what trap speeds you ran the first time, so there is no comparison to mph. What was the humidity like during the runs. A humid day will kill performance

My trap speed last summer was around 86.5mph if I remember correctly. Humidity was 65 to 69 percent last night.
What mod will help me the most in 1/4. I do have anti spin (locking differental). I do not want a supercharger or nos. thanks for the reply

I think the most beneficial mod for you (besides supercharger or nitrious) would be a gear change. I dont think there are any easy ways to add horsepower to the 4.7 without tearing into the motor, pistons, cam, etc. I would go with a 3.92 or a 4.10 gearing.

What kind of improvement would i see in the 1/4 if i went to 3.92 gears. I just dont want to add more money with no returns. thanks
